With this course we highly recommend you take our STCW Basic Training (2-day blended course) to complete your full Qualification for a deckhand position. Save time and cost by completing our STCW Blended Basic training course. Seven Seas Preparatory Academy offers the blended STCW basic training course which is a combination of online theory training and followed by attending 2 days of practical’s. The practical’s include fire fighting, personal survival techniques and first aid/CPR. The course is US Coastguard approved and recognized by any Yacht registry.


Our Instructors are Master Mariners with extensive large yacht and passenger ship experience. STCW contains eight chapters with chapter six covering the requirements for Basic training. Basic training is required for all crew members working on a Yacht as part of the crew and should be completed before working on your Yacht. The course meets international standards required by Flag states including the MCA, US Coastguard, Marshall Islands, Isle of Man and Grand Cayman.The STCW Blended Basic Safety Training course teaches you critical safety information to prepare you for work on a yacht. You will learn sea survival techniques, fire fighting skills, First Aid/CPR, and how to safely conduct yourself on your yacht.


Our experienced instructors will keep each practical course exciting and fun, while teaching you critical lifesaving skills that could save yours or your fellow crew members life. Our Instructors hold the highest Maritime licenses and have decades of large yacht and ship experience. STCW contains eight chapters and chapter six covers the requirements for Basic Training.
